So I have had some things going on with me the last few weeks, I screwed up my shoulder and have been to several doctors appointments trying to fix that problem. Lets just say my doctor is very thorough and ordered tests I didn’t think I needed. I had a mammogram and last Wednesday they called me and told me that they needed to do an ultrasound because something was there. I am a nightmare when I get stressed and trust me I was stressed!!! My better half has been amazing and by my side through my insanity he is so great. My friend Tracy has also had to deal with my crazy mood swings. Well I had everything done today and they found a mass that is 2.5 mm the doctor told me that they don’t want to do anything right now so basically I come back in six months, to make sure it hasn’t grown. I was so scared I honestly figured they were going to give me horrible news. I was given injections for four months hormone therapy that I didn’t need, by the quack doctor I worked for, that increases your chance of breast cancer : / As of now I am free to worry about normal things and hopefully in will not have to worry again in six months. 🙂
So I started out with Bath & Body Works candles, I have a friend who burns them daily. Rather then throw them away I wanted to recycle them. I had been looking at canisters for our bathroom and rather than buy them I decided to give these a try. I soaked the candles in very hot water (after they were burnt down) and peeled off the stickers and made sure they were clean. They happen to be the perfect size for cotton swabs and cotton balls. I think they are adorable and very functional for what I needed. Time to clean about 10 min. Cost absolutely nothing.
So since Gene and I work a lot we don’t have as much time as we would like to be creative. We literally threw this pie together in less than 30 min. I don’t really use recipes I just create my own thing so by all means please do the same.
Here is a basic recipe 🙂 add your love and touch and make it your own.
1 ready made pie crust
2 cooked chicken breasts
1 bag of frozen peas and carrots
1 large cooked potato
1 small onion
2 small cans of cream of chicken soup
Sauté the onion and cooked potato add what ever spices you like, salt, pepper we used fresh basil. Put the frozen veggies in a large bowl and mix in both cans of soup. Add the cooked chicken, I actually boil mine and then chop it into small pieces. Stir in the onion and potato. Mix well and pour that onto your bottom crust that had been laid out in your pie pan. Once your pie pan is filled add top crust. Make sure to poke some holes in top crust. Bake at 350 for 50 min on a cookie sheet. If you don’t want the crust edge to get over done you can cover loosely with a strip of foil. Enjoy!
A friend of mine gave me this chair she was going to throw it away. I decided I needed this chair in my life. All it took was three cans of yellow spray primer/ paint from Lowes each can cost about four dollars. We lightly sanded the chair, then sprayed it with several coats of the paint. We let it dry about an hour between each coat and then let it dry over night. It is now sitting in my office and the paint seems to be holding up just fine. The color just pops since it is very bright.
